Who we are

Shashiworks (the "site"), available at www.shashiworks.com, is operated by Shashi Kumar G P from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. For any privacy-related question, you can write to shashikumargp7@gmail.com. We act as the data controller for personal information you provide while using the site.

Data we keep in your browser

Some features store information locally in your browser so you can come back later without creating an account.

• Saved searches and alerts
• Application tracker entries
• Resume builder drafts and history
• Recent activity and display preferences

You can clear this at any time by using your browser's "Clear site data" option for www.shashiworks.com.

Data sent for processing

When you use analysis features, the related content is sent to the backend service so the app can generate results.

• Resume files you upload for parsing
• Search filters used to create job links
• Company names used for research
• Email addresses used for alert reminders

Sign-in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google Sign-In so we can save your resumes, tracker entries, search history, and interview prep plans across devices. We never receive your Google password. You can revoke our access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

Job applications and resume sharing

When you apply to a job listed on Shashiworks, you give explicit consent (via a checkbox in the application form) for us to:

• Analyse your resume against the job description to compute an ATS match score and a short skill summary.
• Share your resume file, name, email address, the match score, and the summary with the recruiter who posted that role, so they can contact you.
• Store the resume, score, and the timestamp of your consent so the recruiter can revisit the application from the dashboard.

Your resume is only shared with the recruiter for the role you applied to. We do not sell or share it with third parties for marketing.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, localStorage, and similar technologies to operate the site and to measure performance. We use three broad categories:

• Strictly necessary — sign-in state, session security, CSRF protection, and storing your consent choices.
• Analytics — Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which pages are useful and where features break. These cookies set anonymised identifiers.
• Advertising — cookies set by Google AdSense and its partners to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where allowed.

You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break sign-in and the application tracker.

Advertising: Google AdSense and third-party vendors

Shashiworks displays advertisements served by Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-9926062157343174). This means:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-H55RZPWT9L) to understand site usage in aggregate. Analytics data is anonymised and is used to improve content and features. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Data retention

We keep your data only as long as it is useful for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as required by law.

• Account profile data — until you delete your account.
• Resumes and tracker entries — until you delete them, or 24 months after last activity, whichever comes first.
• Applications shared with recruiters — up to 12 months after the application date, then archived.
• Analytics and ad logs — managed under Google's retention policies (typically 2 to 14 months for GA4).

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and similar laws elsewhere, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct any inaccuracies in your data.
• Request deletion of your account, resumes, applications, and tracker entries.
• Withdraw consent for processing (for example, opt out of recruiter-sharing).
• Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.

Children's privacy

The site is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

International data transfers

Our hosting and processing partners (including Supabase, Google Cloud, and similar services) may store data in regions outside India. We rely on standard contractual protections and the providers' own compliance certifications to keep your data safe in transit and at rest.

External links

The site links to external services such as job boards, company pages, news articles, LinkedIn, GitHub, and recruiter websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which you should review separately.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to signed-in users where appropriate.
