Request deletion of your Shashiworks data
You can ask us to permanently delete your account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains how to request deletion, what gets removed, and how long it takes. Last updated: 17 May 2026.
How to request deletion
Send an email to shashikumargp7@gmail.com from the email address linked to your Shashiworks account (the same email you signed in with).

What gets deleted
When your deletion request is processed, we permanently remove:
- Your account profile (name, email, profile photo from Google Sign-In)
- All resumes you uploaded or generated
- Application tracker entries
- Saved searches and alerts
- Resume history and ATS optimization results
- Interview prep plans
- Job application records (where you applied to listings posted via /post-a-job)
- Tavily Live Job Search usage and history
- Any session tokens stored on our servers
What we retain (and why)
A small amount of data may be retained for legal, fraud prevention, or operational reasons:
- Aggregated, anonymised analytics that cannot be linked back to you
- Transaction records for any paid services (e.g., Live Job Search upgrades) where retention is required by Indian tax and accounting law (typically up to 7 years)
- Records of the deletion request itself, for our compliance audit trail
None of this retained data identifies you personally.
Response timeline
- Within 7 days — we acknowledge your request and verify it came from the account-owner email.
- Within 30 days — your account and personal data are permanently deleted from our production database (Supabase).
- Up to 90 days — full purging from any encrypted backups, in line with our backup-retention cycle.
We will email you a confirmation once deletion is complete.
Third-party data
Some data is processed by third-party services on our behalf. When you request deletion, we also instruct these providers to remove your data:
- Supabase — primary database; deleted with your account.
- Google Sign-In — we hold no Google credentials. You can also revoke our access from your Google Account permissions.
- Sentry — error logs are anonymised and auto-expire (90 days).
- Google Analytics / AdSense — managed under Google's own retention windows (2–14 months).
- Razorpay — transaction records for paid features are retained as required by Indian tax law; payment-card data is held by Razorpay, not Shashiworks.
Alternative: clear local data only
If you only want to remove data stored on your device (without deleting your account), use your browser's "Clear site data" option for www.shashiworks.com, or uninstall the Android app. This removes locally cached resumes, drafts, and preferences but keeps your server account intact.
Questions or problems
If you do not receive an acknowledgement within 7 days, or if your request was rejected and you disagree, please write to shashikumargp7@gmail.com with the subject "Deletion follow-up". You may also lodge a complaint with India's Data Protection Board under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
